Diagnosis Parkinson's Disease: You are Not Alone (VHS or DVD)
This 25-minute DVD/video that was created to provide some comfort and encouragement for a person who has just been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. It includes testimonials from people with Parkinson's on how they learned to cope and live with the diagnosis, scientific and medical information from healthcare experts and helpful tips and resources. It is often paired with a companion booklet of the same name. Both were created when people with Parkinson's, caregivers and doctor alike, expressed that although Parkinson's can be a devastating diagnosis, people need a place to turn and knowledge of where to find resources. The video has been honored by the Communications Award with an 'Award of Distinction.' It is available in DVD, VHS and PAL formats.

PDF is committed to examining and addressing barriers to clinical research participation. We publish roundtable reports discussing such barriers and possible solutions. The first in a series of three reports is now available.
Building Patient Trust
This report summarizes the proceeding and findings of a 2007 roundtable discussion that explored barriers to clinical research: specifically how the Parkinson’s community can improve patient trust in the process. Participants included people with Parkinson’s, researchers, industry representatives and members of government.
