The Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program

Are you a nurse educator? Help prepare the next generation of nurses to care for the growing population of people with Parkinson’s disease by applying to The Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program.

The Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program (EJS-VNF) at the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) is a 40-hour accredited “train the trainer” program which improves nursing care in Parkinson’s disease by training faculty leaders across the United States so they can, in turn, educate nursing students.

Nurses are critical to Parkinson's care. In light of a growing number of people with Parkinson's and a shortage of neurologists specializing in the disease, it is even more pressing that nurses be prepared to fight Parkinson's on the front lines.

To meet this need, The Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program has trained nearly 190 nurses who in turn train 18,000 nursing students each year.
