Robin Anthony Elliott
CEO Emeritus, Parkinson's Disease Foundation
Robin Elliott is CEO Emeritus of the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF), a division of the Parkinson's Foundation. The Parkinson's Foundation was formed by the merger of National Parkinson Foundation and PDF. Mr. Elliott led PDF from 1996 to 2016.
Over the past 20 years, Mr. Elliott has fortified PDF’s programs of research, education and advocacy for the Parkinson’s community. Among his accomplishments, he negotiated an earlier merger with the Chicago-based United Parkinson's Foundation in 1998; helped to create the World Parkinson's Congress in 2006; and established Parkinson's Advocates in Research (PAIR), which fosters the process of patient engagement in research.
Among other recent activities, Mr. Elliott is a board member and former Treasurer of the American Society for Experimental NeuroTherapeutics (ASENT), a board member and former chair of the American Brain Coalition (ABC) and a board member of the Empire State Stem Cell Board (ESSCB). Mr. Elliott grew up in Southern England and moved to the United States in 1962. He holds degrees from Oxford University (B.A.) and Columbia University (M.A.).
